About Karen

As a young girl with a big imagination, I often dreamed of becoming someone who would make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

However, despite having a higher education and working hard to build a comfortable life for myself, I could not see beyond my many debilitating and limiting beliefs.

That was until my mother lost her life to cancer. As grief moved through me, a new sense of purpose began growing within me, and I knew it was time to stop playing small.

Admittedly, in the beginning, I wondered whether I was better off remaining in my comfort zone because, as it turns out, I was as afraid of success as I was of failure. But with time, the fear began dissipating and I was well on my way.

Through the sometimes grueling and painful process of overhauling and transforming my life, I learned to identify my limiting beliefs and discover all the untapped potential that existed within me. I also learned to shift my perspective on life and began approaching every obstacle as an opportunity, which has been an absolute game changer for me!

After years of personal development, working with therapists, coaches and spiritual healers, I find myself living the most meaningful and purposeful season of my life, yet.

My business is built on the belief that you are your greatest investment, that with the right support system you can create the life of your dreams, and that embarking on a journey of healing, self-discovery and transformation, should not break the bank, or leave you feeling lonely and overwhelmed.

Family Life

My family is made up of people who aren't all blood relations, but who are all an extension of me. They are, as I like to call them, my tribe, who help me stay grounded, centered and focussed on what matters most. In becoming the matriach of my family, I take great pride in following my mother's footsteps by making sure that everyone who enters my home feels welcomed and loved. The only time I make an exception, is on family game nights. That is when the gloves come off, my loved ones become my adversaries, and the only ones who are safe are the little ones! All kidding aside, what I love most about being me, is that I get to be surrounded by beautiful, healthy and loving people.

A little Extra!

• Favorite decade: 1980's! This decade produced some of my favorite music, fashion and films

• Favorite food: I think I can narrow it down to one favorite food, but traditional Guatemalan breakfast is a favorite comfort food.

• Guilty Pleasures: Eating a pint of Haagen Dazs Rocky Road ice cream while binge watching a television series with my husband.
